A food lover's guide to Jagalchi, the new Korean culinary center
Briefly

Jagalchi, located in Daly City, California, is a new food complex that brings a taste of authentic Korean cuisine to the U.S. Inspired by the historic Jagalchi Fish Market in Busan, the complex showcases a variety of traditional hansik and trendy K-foods. With a layout reminiscent of Seoul’s bustling food courts, Jagalchi aims to educate customers about Korean cooking while offering a vibrant dining experience. Opened on March 28, 2025, it is expected to attract food lovers eager to explore a variety of Korean culinary options, including fresh seafood and homemade kimchi.
Walking into Jagalchi in Daly City feels like entering an edible wonderland handcrafted for K-foodies. The complex, a much-anticipated project of the Mega Mart USA Korean retail chain, celebrates the rich abundance and variety of hansik (traditional Korean cuisine) and trendy K-foods, inviting everyone to dig in, learn more and cook at home.
Jagalchi's director, Bum-suk Ha, said that the namesake is a shoutout to the Southeastern port city where Nongshim, the multinational giant that produces Shin Ramyun and runs Mega Mart, has a manufacturing plant and is adding another for exports only.
