Dr. Ileana L. Selejan presents "Recursive Archive" as part of the 2024 Ruth K. Franklin Lecture on the Arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. Selejan, a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, will present her findings on Nicaraguan photography and how documenting the country's history through still images showcased the aftermath of the Sandinista revolution. Artist and Stanford professor Enrique Chagoya will join her in conversation.
