San Jose proposes an electric vehicle prep and delivery hub at 2256 Junction Ave, repurposing an existing 107,700 square foot industrial building. The site, once linked to Amazon, plans market-ready improvements, including admin space, power upgrades, LED lighting, paving, and roof repairs. Upon approval, the hub could store several hundred vehicles and feature 920 spaces for parking. Construction may start in the second quarter of 2026. The facility might also include a showroom and perform vehicle servicing tasks, though the specific vehicle brands remain undisclosed.
An electric vehicle prep and delivery hub could sprout in San Jose under a revamped plan that represents the latest proposal to develop a site once linked to Amazon.
The project would use an existing building that totals 107,700 square feet, according to the proposal submitted by project developer and property owner Prologis.
Construction could begin during the April-through-June second quarter of 2026, once the city review process is complete. Several hundred vehicles could be stored at the site once the project is complete.
Standard servicing and repair of vehicles will be performed here to support deliveries, including software updates, tire replacement, tire balancing and replacement of bolt on parts.
