"Greedy billionaire trying to ripoff the American people pretending to be altruistic is all I see," the lawmaker said.
Musk's SpaceX and Tesla have received at least $18 billion in federal funding over the past decade.
Musk suggested that the funding he has slashed as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is wasteful.
