July 9 is the date for the for first launch of Ariane 6
Briefly

Europe lost its domestic heavy-lift capability with the retirement of the Ariane 5. The plan for the Ariane 6 was to create something more flexible and cheaper than its predecessor - the launcher can carry more and heavier satellites than the Ariane 5 and features an upper-stage engine that can be relit multiple times.
ESA managers seek success with Ariane 6 amidst delays, loss of launch capabilities, and failures. Aiming for ten launches per year post initial flights, unlike SpaceX's rapid launches.
The maiden flight payload includes eight CubeSats and reentry capsules. Exploration Company contracted to devise ISS cargo return. Wet dress rehearsal on June 18 precedes the launch.
