Ed Dwight, a retired Air Force pilot, was denied an opportunity to become the first Black astronaut in 1963; finally flew to space with Blue Origin at 90, becoming the oldest person to reach space.
Dwight expressed his satisfaction after the flight and mentioned the dynamic experience of transitions, separations, and the fantastic view in space, considering it a life-changing experience that everyone should have.
