Acting President Choi Sang-mok directed all relevant agencies to mobilize resources for fire suppression, declaring affected areas disaster zones as evacuation orders were issued for impacted residents.
Severe fire warnings were issued in 12 key locations, including North and South Gyeongsang provinces, Busan, and Daejeon, following widespread destruction and highway closures.
