Briefly

The San Jose Sharks have signed another player from their 2024 draft class, inking Russian forward Igor Chernyshov to a three-year, entry-level contract. Chernyshov's contract, per a source, carries a salary cap hit of $975,000 at the NHL level.
Chernyshov, listed at 6-foot-3 and 203 pounds, was taken with the first pick of the second round, 33rd overall, by the Sharks last month. Chernyshov's selection came a day after San Jose took center Macklin Celebrini first overall and defenseman Sam Dickinson at No. 11.
