Jamal Lewis is on the verge of a move to Brazilian club Sao Paulo as he completes visa requirements and medical checks ahead of his transfer.
Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill confirmed Lewis's transfer plans, stating, "Jamal is planning to join us later in the week after he completes his visa requirements and medical checks in Brazil."
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe remarked on the potential for player departures, saying, "Maybe the players that have been linked with a move, like Jamal Lewis could possibly leave, but certainly we hope no one else does."
Since joining Newcastle United in 2020, Jamal Lewis struggled for regular game time, with only 36 appearances to his name, the last being in January 2023.
