From the library to the ring: How Stanford's Dante Kirkman is punching his way to greatness
Briefly

Dante Kirkman, a 23-year-old Stanford student majoring in communication and media studies, dedicates himself to both his academic pursuits and boxing career. He trains at B Street Boxing in San Mateo daily, rigorously preparing for his next fight while managing the demands of challenging Stanford coursework. Despite his busy schedule, Kirkman remains focused, prioritizing his dream of becoming a super welterweight world champion while maintaining a disciplined lifestyle, eschewing typical college social activities. His trainer, Eddie Croft, emphasizes Kirkman’s seriousness and determination, having known him since middle school. Kirkman has already achieved an undefeated record in his early professional boxing career.
Kirkman has won his first three professional bouts, and he'll look to continue his undefeated streak when he fights 37-year-old Jose Cruz at Thunder Valley Casino.
