A's Announce Las Vegas Jersey Patch Sponsorship
Briefly

The Oakland Athletics announced a three-year partnership with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which includes Las Vegas patches on their uniforms during their stay in Sacramento. Owner John Fisher emphasized that this signifies their transition to Las Vegas. The deal, worth $8.25 million, includes incrementally increasing payments over the three years. LVCVA's Steve Hill noted this situation is unique as the A's will still be in Sacramento while establishing ties to their future city, unlike previous team transitions where such arrangements were deemed inappropriate.
"For the Athletics, this partnership is more than just a jersey patch-it's the beginning of the transition to our new home," said A's owner John Fisher.
"Frankly, one of the reasons that something like this hasn't been done... is that they're still in the city they're moving from," said LVCVA head Steve Hill.
