The 49ers have signed defensive ends Leonard Floyd and Yetur Gross-Matos, traded for defensive tackle Maliek Collins, and signed interior defender Jordan Elliott to bolster their defense.
The headliner is defensive tackle Arik Armstead, whom the 49ers released. Fellow tackle Javon Kinlaw signed with the New York Jets, and defensive end Clelin Ferrell joined the Washington Commanders. Trade acquisition Chase Young is now a free agent, with a reunion with the 49ers unlikely.
