Louisville receiver Caullin Lacy sustained a broken collarbone during fall camp, sidelining him for an extended period. Lacy, a top transfer, was expected to be the Cardinals' No. 1 receiver.
Last season at South Alabama, Lacy registered impressive stats with 91 receptions and 1,316 receiving yards, placing him fifth in the nation and indicating his significant impact potential.
With Lacy's injury, Louisville will need to replace its leading receiver James Thrash, leaving Chris Bell and Alabama transfer Ja'Corey Brooks to step up in pivotal roles.
The Cardinals are facing the challenge of losing their top new acquisition, Caullin Lacy, as they aim to fill the void left by last year's leading receiver.
