In their season opener against the Steelers, the Falcons showcased a strong defensive performance, highlighted by Grady Jarrett's standout play, despite losing 18-10.
Head coach Raheem Morris praised the team's defensive resilience, stating, 'You can't just necessarily go off of what happened with the results... I was really proud of those guys and what they were able to do with their resiliency in the red zone and after those turnovers.'
Jarrett's impressive performance included 1.5 sacks, allowing him to surpass John Abraham's franchise record for quarterback hits, bringing his total to 117.
Despite not allowing a touchdown for the first time since Week 15 last season, Morris noted there's still room for improvement after the disappointing loss.
