Chargers declare two defensive stars will be ready for season opener
Briefly

The Chargers have been without two key players, All-Pro safety Derwin James Jr. and four-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa, during the preseason, but both are expected to return for the opener against the Raiders.
Coach Harbaugh reported that both James and Bosa are "working through something" but the training staff believes they will be ready for the Season Opener.
Bosa’s absence since Aug. 4 due to a hand/wrist injury has left the team cautious, as he was seen practicing off to the side with a wrap.
James has not participated in practice for nearly two weeks, missing multiple training camp sessions without any clarification on the nature of his injury.
