Veteran safety Adrian Amos is making his debut with the San Francisco 49ers, stepping in to provide depth at safety due to injuries.
Adrian Amos joined the 49ers' practice squad two weeks ago and is set to play in his 10th NFL season, after four years with the Bears and Packers.
With Talanoa Hufanga on injured reserve recovering from wrist surgery, Amos is expected to serve as a backup behind Ji'Ayir Brown and Malik Mustapha.
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan expressed hope for Hufanga's return this season, but he remains on IR for at least a few more weeks.
