While some speculate that the 49ers' consistent need for significant spending to retain their core players may lead to a decline, FS1 analyst Emmanuel Acho sees the team's ability to find talent in the draft as the key to sustaining their competitiveness.
Critics might argue that while the 49ers have found some good foundational pieces in the draft, there have been some significant whiffs, such as Lance in 2021 or defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw in 2020.
"Their stars are not all first-round picks," Acho continued. "But after you pay Aiyuk, what we've found with the Niners is they know how to draft well. I think they'll be okay."
