Four San Francisco 49ers stars—George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, Kyle Juszczyk, and Nick Bosa—saw Dead & Company at Sphere in Las Vegas, embracing their inner Deadheads. Dressed in Grateful Dead gear, the players had backstage access and lively experiences, including mingling with founding member Bob Weir. The night was special for Juszczyk, who seemed converted after the show, commenting, "I get it," on social media. Their bonding over music in Vegas tied into shared memories from a previous trip following the Super Bowl.
Dead & Company drummer Jay Lane, who was born in San Francisco, hosted the 49ers backstage and implied one 49er in particular had him a little too excited.: "Kittle pumpin me up pre show," Lane wrote in an Instagram post. "Had to chill or I would've demolished my drums."
It isn't clear which Niners were Deadheads before the show, but the evening at Sphere appears to have converted Juszczyk, who wrote, "I get it," in a comment on Kittle's Instagram post.
