The car was traveling through Chinatown on Jackson Street near Stockton and Grant around 9:30 p.m. Approximately 10 to 15 people surrounded the car, according to a spokesperson from the San Francisco Fire Department, and began breaking its windows and spraying graffiti. Someone then threw a lit firework through a window, igniting the vehicle in flames.
"We are working closely with local safety officials to respond to the situation," Karp said.
