Christopher Ulrich, a lawyer for San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus, stated that her legal team will demonstrate that there was 'no nepotism, no retaliation, no misconduct,' in her office.
Attorney Jan Little laid out the key witnesses who can prove that Corpus had a close relationship with Victor Aenlle, engaging in retaliation, negligence and obstructing investigations.
Former Undersheriff Chris Hsiung described his relationship with Corpus as 'difficult and frustrating,' noting unusual behaviors between Corpus and Aenlle.
