All traffic has stopped on the M25 due to a 'serious' lorry fire, causing severe delays in the area, with National Highways confirming two hours of delays and about 10 miles of congestion.
National Highways has confirmed that the fire broke out on the M25 clockwise between J5 Sevenoaks and J6 Godstone at around 1:30am. They urge motorists to allow extra time for travel.
As of now, it is still unknown whether anyone is involved in the incident. We are in contact with Surrey Fire and Rescue and South East Coast Ambulance Service for more information.
The AA statement emphasizes that there are two lanes closed due to the truck fire, with congestion extending to J5 M26 and the A25 at Sundridge, Oxted, and Godstone.
