A 66-year-old man from San Diego was arrested for allegedly robbing the Chase Bank in Redwood City. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when bank employees triggered a silent alarm after the suspect handed a note demanding money to a teller. Following the robbery, the suspect remained in the bank's lounge area but exited voluntarily when the area was evacuated. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently held in San Mateo County jail under robbery charges, as the investigation continues.
