Brent Clifford, son of Creedence Clearwater Revival drummer Doug Clifford, was arrested in Portola on August 14 in connection with a Reno homicide and a missing person case.
The Reno Police Department had an active warrant for Clifford's arrest regarding the fatal shooting of William Andrews, discovered dead on August 11.
Authorities believe Clifford fled in Andrews' Chevrolet Blazer after the homicide, and he was later captured in that same vehicle on a California highway.
The investigation also tied Clifford to the disappearance of his girlfriend Patricia Portella-Wright, who went missing days before, and her remains were subsequently found.
