San Francisco police uncovered an alleged overnight crew that targeted houses under construction to steal power tools and construction equipment. Three suspects were arrested and thousands of dollars in stolen equipment were recovered. Officers conducted surveillance and observed the suspects switching license plates on a vehicle used to commit burglaries across multiple police districts, including Taraval, Ingleside, Park, Richmond, Northern, Mission, and Bayview. The suspects were observed in the Outer Sunset on October 3 stealing power tools from sites on the 1700 block of 38th Avenue, the 3200 block of Moraga Street, the 1700 block of 40th Avenue, and the 1700 block of 42nd Avenue.
