PG&E will not have planned shutoffs in Bay Area
Briefly

PG&E announced that it will not conduct public safety power shutoffs in the Bay Area due to improved weather forecasts and reduced wind concerns.
Initially, PG&E warned customers across 11 counties about possible shutoffs due to a weather system bringing gusty winds and increased fire danger, but areas like Alameda and Contra Costa counties were later removed from consideration.
The company emphasized that conditions on Monday raised the most concern, but after reviewing the weather outlook, it became clear that the wind patterns would not pose the expected threats.
Tamar Sarkissian stated, "We've been able to determine that specifically winds did not pan out the way that we were concerned they might, and that's why we were able to remove them from scope."
