At 4,000 square feet, the new grocery store will also be Bi-Rite's largest yet, complete with a kitchen, sandwich counter, baked goods section and fish and meat cases.
Our vision was never just to open another store; we wanted to create a space that reflects the neighborhood's soul, where people can gather, discover, and delight in the food they love.
Bi-Rite plans to celebrate the grocery store's opening with festivities on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1. Guests can enjoy live music, gifts with purchase and special deals.
Three percent of all market sales will be donated to Project Open Hand, a nonprofit organization that delivers meals to people in need.
