George Kittle: San Francisco 49ers tight end on injured reserve with hamstring injury
"San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has been placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury sustained during Sunday's 17-13 win at the Seattle Seahawks. Six-time Pro Bowl selection Kittle will miss the 49ers' game at the New Orleans Saints on September 14, home games against the Arizona Cardinals a week later and the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 28 and trip to the Los Angeles Rams on October 3."
"Kittle, who turns 31 this year, has made no secret of his desire to stay in San Francisco "until the wheels fall off." Entering his ninth season in 2025, Kittle needs one more campaign to join the 51 players who have spent more than 10 years with San Francisco since 1946. In 2024, Kittle amassed 1,106 receiving yards - third-most among NFL tight ends - along with eight touchdowns (tied for second)."

Luke Farrell and Jake Tonges are the like-for-like replacement options. Kittle signed a four-year, $76.4 million extension in April that includes $40 million guaranteed.
