The incident occurred at 10.30pm on August 17 at the Heineken Tent area near the main stage during Electric Picnic, resulting in one man being injured at the scene.
Portlaoise Gardaí have called for public assistance in obtaining mobile phone video footage and pictures of the assault, emphasizing that such evidence could be critical to the investigation.
Gardaí are specifically searching for a male witness described as approximately six feet tall, clean-shaven, wearing a white t-shirt and a bright yellow bucket hat, with a midlands accent.
The spokesperson stated, 'If you have any relevant footage, images, or information, please come forward. Your assistance could be crucial in helping us.'
