Hundreds of anti-immigration protesters walked through Dublin city on Thursday afternoon towards the Dáil after gathering outside the GPO on O'Connell Street for a demonstration carrying Tricolours, "Erin Go Bragh" banners and "You'll Never Beat the Irish" flags.
In order to ensure the safety of all protestors and the general public, gardaí implemented a graduated policing response, engaging with protestors and giving directions to disperse.
More than 100 anti-racism counter-demonstrators gathered close by, chanting "far right loyalists, get off our streets", ensuring that the area experienced heightened tensions throughout the demonstrations.
Sixteen individuals have been charged, primarily with public order offences, alongside charges of assault, criminal damage, and possession of a knife.
