Firefighters battle blaze at San Rafael Airport
Briefly

Firefighters responded to a significant structure fire early Sunday morning at San Rafael Airport, where a 2,000-square-foot sheet metal building was fully engulfed in flames. The incident began around 4:51 a.m. and took about an hour for crews to control, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. The machine shop, which was unoccupied and used for repairs, suffered total loss, and the overflow of flammable materials prompted a response from the Hazardous Materials team for containment.
