Body found on back seat of minivan on Highway 101
Briefly

On Wednesday afternoon, California Highway Patrol responded to a medical emergency report involving a Toyota minivan on Highway 101 in San Mateo. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased individual in the back seat. CHP confirmed there was no suspicion of foul play and emphasized that the situation originated from a medical emergency rather than police being dispatched to a crime scene. The identity and cause of death remain undisclosed pending investigation by the San Mateo Coroner's Office.
A party was located in the back seat and was pronounced deceased by Fire personnel. No foul play is suspected.
To be clear, this was a medical emergency call. The narrative that we were called to a dead body in a vehicle... is not accurate.
