Berkeley could acquire one of Ashby station's parking lots as part of BART housing deal
Briefly

"If the City Council signs off on the agreement next week, Berkeley would also take over a plan to lease the parking lot just east of Adeline Street to a developer, who would build housing on the 1.7-acre site."
"The proposed land swap is one piece of the complex air rights deal, which also spells out these commitments from BART and the city: At least 35% of all homes built at the Ashby parking lots will be affordable, including at least half of the first 602 apartments built at the BART-managed project on the west lot."
