A 28-year-old man from San Mateo was apprehended at Los Angeles International Airport after a police investigation into his repeated following of a resident from San Francisco to San Mateo. The inquiry began on March 7 when the victim reported suspicious behavior, leading detectives to search the suspect's home, where they discovered illegal firearms. He faces several serious charges, including possession of an assault weapon and manufacturing firearms using a 3D printer, and is currently awaiting transfer to San Mateo County authorities.
Detectives obtained warrants to search the man's home, where they found a cache of illegal firearms, police said.
The case kicked off March 7 when a resident told officers a man was possibly following her from San Francisco to San Mateo.
He was booked on charges including possession of an assault weapon, manufacturing guns with a 3D printer and possession of a silencer, according to police.
