Bay Area commemorates remembrance day of 9/11 terror attacks 23 years later
Briefly

"Just think about the sacrifices that we make to protect our own community, the courage it takes, the valor, the integrity -- all of the things that represent the fire service..." said Oakland Fire Chief Damon Covington.
"Every year, the San Francisco Fire Department holds a remembrance ceremony in honor of those emergency responders and civilians who were killed." This serves to reflect and honor the sacrifices made.
The country is marking 23 years since the Sept. 11 terror attacks, with numerous events across the U.S. to commemorate the courage and sacrifice displayed during that day.
Three heroes from the Bay Area, Todd Beamer, Mark Bingham, and Betty Ong, played pivotal roles during the 9/11 attacks, showcasing bravery in the face of terror.
