Progeny Coffee has opened a new cafe in San Francisco, maintaining its commitment to ethical sourcing and community engagement. Owners John Trabelsi and Maria Palacio, who previously faced challenges in expanding, are excited to establish their first location in the city with plans for additional sites. The cafe features in-house crafted syrups for seasonal drinks, collaborations with local businesses for food and beverages, and an inclusive product selection. Staffed by coffee director Jesse Gonzalez, Progeny aims to combine specialty coffee with a community-oriented environment, promising unique offerings and a vibrant atmosphere.
Trabelsi emphasizes the significance of their dedicated coffee director, Jesse Gonzalez, stating, "It's his moment. He's worked so hard. It's his time to shine."
For the cafe, all syrups for seasonal drinks will be made in-house, with offerings like mint mochas and blueberry lattes highlighting their commitment to quality.
Progeny Coffee is committed to inclusivity, with a grab-and-go section featuring products from minority- and impact-driven founders, showcasing their social responsibility.
The cafe will expand its offerings by including wine and beer, along with unique food options like onion soup and cheese platters, enhancing the dining experience.
