Demitri Sousa, 28, is accused of shooting and killing Javon Lawson, 35, at Lawson's Cranston home on Thursday night. Police believe the motive stemmed from a dispute over a mutual female acquaintance. Sousa allegedly fled in a white Infiniti sedan, which was tracked through license plate readers across Massachusetts. Early Friday morning, Sousa's vehicle crashed into a blue Subaru on Route 136 in Swansea, resulting in two additional deaths. Sousa faces charges including murder, using a firearm during a crime of violence, and carrying a pistol without a license.
