Casa Wabi Mushroom Pavilion / OMA
"The Mushroom Pavilion is now open at Fundacion Casa Wabi, joining the campus of art and community facilities founded by Mexican artist Bosco Sodi. The project marks OMA's first built work in Mexico. Located in the foundation's sprawling 65 acres of natural landscape between the mountains and the Oaxacan coast, the Mushroom Pavilion is a space for cultivating mushrooms while fostering exchange between food, art, nature, and local communities."
The Mushroom Pavilion represents OMA's inaugural built work in Mexico, situated within Fundacion Casa Wabi's 65-acre campus. Founded by Mexican artist Bosco Sodi, the foundation combines art and community facilities. The pavilion functions as a dual-purpose structure: a functional space for mushroom cultivation and a venue for fostering dialogue between food production, artistic practice, natural environments, and local communities. The project integrates into the landscape between mountains and the Oaxacan coast, creating a platform for cultural and agricultural exchange.
