Mythical Sasquatch Makes Rare Appearance in Listing Photos for $735K Mountain Retreat
Briefly

"In this listing, it is me dressed as Sasquatch. I did it all for this one," admits Jonathan Dempsey with HomeSmart Realty Advisors. The Clifton Township, PA, property is on the market for $735,000. While the tactic might seem odd-to say the least-Dempsey says that it has proven to help shift homes in the past. "We've done this, like, four times now, with three of them being pure short-term rental listings," he says.
"The goal is to stand out and get as many views as possible so that people can see themselves there," he explains. "But we thought it would be a good way to really help people both visualize themselves at the house using some of the amenities, as well as just getting people to send the listing around and possibly find the right buyer for this home."
At first, the owner was not thrilled. "I didn't even tell him I was going to do this for the photos. I'm good friends with him, so I was sure it wasn't going to ruin my reputation, but he actually didn't like them at first," Dempsey says. He has since warmed up to the idea now that people are looking at the listing.
