Measure FF is the only measure that can maintain or improve Berkeley's streets, providing more than double the funding of the competing Measure EE for necessary repairs.
By failing to pass Measure FF, we risk continued deterioration of our streets and exponentially rising construction and repair costs that we can no longer afford.
The improvements authorized by Measure FF, such as bulb-outs and raised crosswalks, will enhance safety for pedestrians and cyclists, especially children going to school.
Fundamentally, Measure FF aims to assist first responders by improving traffic signal controls, thereby facilitating faster emergency response times, which could save lives.
