Micheál Carrigy has been elected as the new Chair of the Fine Gael parliamentary party, succeeding Alan Farrell, who lost his seat in the General Election. Carrigy expressed his honor at taking on this vital role and highlighted the blend of new talent and experienced members within the party. The Tánaiste and party leader, Simon Harris, praised Carrigy's dedication, leadership, and commitment to important causes. Harris affirmed that Carrigy will be instrumental in leading the party through a period of renewal and rejuvenation, focusing on delivering the Programme for Government.
