Fannie Mae board member departs one day after appointment
Briefly

Christopher Stanley resigned from Fannie Mae's Board of Directors just a day after his appointment coinciding with the elevation of Pulte to the chair position. His resignation was detailed in an SEC filing, and he previously served as a temporary expert appointed by the OPM. Stanley was involved with the installation of Starlink internet at the White House and faced a security alarm incident, which the Secret Service deemed non-threatening. Fannie Mae and related entities declined to comment on the situation.
According to a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing on Wednesday, Stanley submitted his resignation to the board on Tuesday, only one day after he was appointed.
Stanley was reportedly appointed to the government as a temporary expert by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). A spokesperson for the office told Bloomberg on Monday that Stanley had returned to the private sector last month.
Administration officials said this move is designed to improve overall connectivity across the complex.
A Secret Service official told the outlet that the occurrence was not classified as a security incident.
