Netflix is expanding the Stranger Things universe with a new animated series called 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85,' which occurs between the original live-action Seasons 2 and 3. Showrunner Eric Robles revealed that this new project will feature familiar characters battling new monsters against a paranormal backdrop. With a unique animation style inspired by 'Spider-Verse' and 'Arcane,' the series aims to visually innovate while retaining the beloved essence of Hawkins. The first-look footage showcases this fresh artistic direction, promising an exciting future for the franchise.
"Welcome back to Hawkins in the stark winter of 1985, where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town," Robles said.
"When you are given the responsibility to create a look for a Stranger Things animation, the fear of god is put in your soul," he said.
