A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against HealthRight 360 after Justin Cartwright, a 30-year-old man in a San Francisco addiction treatment facility, died from a fentanyl overdose. Just one day after checking in, he relapsed and found fentanyl in the facility's bathroom. Although he was hospitalized and returned, he experienced two more relapses, leading to his fatal overdose on January 14, 2024. His parents claim negligence on the part of the facility, citing failure to adhere to drug prevention policies.
Just a day after being admitted to the facility, Justin Cartwright relapsed on fentanyl and subsequently overdosed due to the lack of adequate supervision.
His parents claim HealthRight 360 is responsible for their son's death, citing a "history of neglect" and failure to enforce policies preventing drug access.
