Our son's here. He's broke:' Video released of Concord police fatal shooting
Briefly

On February 18, police in Concord responded to a domestic disturbance involving Nathan Keesler, who was attacking his father with a large kitchen knife. Despite officers issuing warnings, Keesler did not comply and was shot multiple times after several volleys of gunfire were deployed. Bodycam footage shows that officers, including Sgt. Christopher Souza and Officer Roy Olson, attempted both lethal and non-lethal means, but Keesler remained aggressive. The incident highlights the challenges law enforcement faces in domestic disputes, particularly when weapons are involved.
Police officers shouted several warnings at a man and fired shots at him while he refused to drop a large sharp kitchen knife he was using to stab his father.
The first volley of shots happened after Olson and Souza entered the home and saw Keesler stabbing his father. Those shots left Keesler motionless.
More than one shot hit Keesler, but police said they won't know the exact number of wounds he had until the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office finishes its official autopsy report.
The sequence of events shows the police's attempts to de-escalate the situation with Taser deployment but ultimately resulted in multiple shots fired.
