Mom of 3 killed in crash with accused drunk driver, CA cops say. 'Hole in our hearts'
Briefly

Suzanne Ruth Fierro, a single mother from Long Beach, passed away following a DUI-related crash in Anaheim. Her children expressed deep sorrow on a GoFundMe page, recounting the void left by her loss and the regret of not being able to intervene. The accident, which occurred just a mile from her workplace, involved another driver, Samantha Farris, who was allegedly intoxicated. Authorities arrested Farris on multiple charges, including felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter, after determining she had turned left in front of Fierro's vehicle, causing the fatal collision.
We will never hear her abundant 'I love You's' through the phone, and will never feel her loving arms around us ever again.
I just wish this didn't happen. I wish I could have stopped her for just five minutes.
Witnesses told police that Farris was possibly drinking alcohol at a business nearby just before the collision.
There was probable cause to believe that Farris was driving intoxicated at the time of the crash.
