Silvanna Moreno, a 9-year-old girl, died shortly after undergoing dental surgery under general anesthesia at Dreamtime Dentistry. She was found unresponsive at home hours post-procedure, despite the dental office claiming that she was monitored and discharged in stable condition. Silvanna's family became concerned when she did not respond after being put to bed, leading them to call 911. Medical intervention was attempted at Rady Children's Hospital, but she did not survive. Officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
The surgery was at Dreamtime Dentistry, which released a statement saying it was deeply saddened by the tragic passing of our young patient, which occurred several hours after her completed dental procedure.
Silvanna was continuously monitored by our dentist anesthesiologist throughout the procedure and that no complications were seen.
