
Stanford’s Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble presents its final performance of the academic year at Dinkelspiel Auditorium on Saturday, May 30 at 7:30 PM. The program includes a new set of music spanning traditional son montuno, classic and modern salsa, boleros, samba, Brazilian funk, rumba jazz, and more. Repertoire includes works written or performed by Rubén Blades, Ray Baretto, Buika, Djavan, and Gilberto Gil, alongside local artists such as John Calloway and John Santos. The concert is designed to energize listeners and encourage dancing. Advance tickets cost $32 for general admission and $27 for students and seniors, while Stanford students with valid SUID attend free. Tickets are available online via the “Buy Tickets” button.
