Jeff Bridges is set to release an album titled 'Slow Magic, 1977-1978' on April 12th via Light in the Attic. The 11-track collection features songs extracted from a decaying cassette labeled 'July 1978'—the result of recording sessions he had with high school friends after filming 'King' in 1976. Assisted by Ken Lauber, a collaborator of Bob Dylan, the album showcases previously unreleased tracks, including 'Obnoxious.' Physical editions will come with interviews and archival photos, including a limited blue vinyl for Record Store Day 2025. Bridges reflects on the oddity of revisiting music from 50 years ago.
"Pretty wild that this thing that happened around 50 years ago wants to bloom. I guess weirdness is what's happening these days. You never can tell what's gonna happen."
"Physical editions of Slow Magic will include liner notes penned by Sam Sweet, new interviews with Bridges, and never-before-seen archival photos."
