Hundreds take to social media to voice crowd safety concerns after Outside Lands Music Festival
Briefly

Safety concerns emerged at the Outside Lands Music Festival as attendees reported overwhelming crowd sizes, particularly during key performances. Video evidence shows concertgoers tightly packed, causing distress. Individuals expressed feelings of being physically pressed, particularly those shorter in stature, experiencing difficulty breathing. Comments from attendees highlighted chaotic pushing within the crowd and concerns for personal safety, drawing comparisons to past tragic events like the Astroworld incident. Organizers faced criticism for not managing crowd control effectively, leading to multiple instances of individuals fainting during performances.
These groups of guys just started shoving to the front, like it was crazy. They were shoving through people," Georgia Trifiletti said.
I can't imagine what it's like if you were a shorter person who couldn't do that, because I felt like, like I might pass out, and we had water, and we could get fresh air, and we were both just thinking, we were like, this kind of feels like it's gonna be another Astroworld," the sisters said.
It got to the point where they did have to tell everybody to take a step back, but that took a while. And people were passing out left and right," Julianna Sangalang said.
I'm five foot and everyone around me was so tall, so I was just like, my head was up, I was also like gasping for air, it was hard to breathe.
