The former Lou's Fish Shack at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco is being revived by Everett & Jones BBQ, a renowned Oakland establishment. After several notable seafood restaurants closed during the pandemic and following Lou's Fish Shack's lease termination in 2023, Everett & Jones BBQ secured a ten-year lease for the location, which includes options for extensions. The granddaughter of the founder, Dorcia White, expressed excitement about continuing the family legacy in San Francisco, where the chain had a previous location before it was lost to the 1989 earthquake.
We believe San Francisco is a great fit for us, Dorcia White, granddaughter of Everett & Jones founder Dorothy Everett, said at Tuesday's Port Commission meeting at which they were granted the lease.
The lease comes with the possibility of two five-year extensions, allowing Everett & Jones BBQ to cement their presence in an area rich with culinary history.
